Dear readers,

Our most-read stories this week were to do with the Spanish weather, as the east coast and the Balearic Islands were battered with heavy rains as the worst "cold drop" in 10 years arrived on Spanish shores.

In a related story, last week's tragedy in Mallorca, in which rainfall caused flash floods, claimed another official victim, as rescue teams located the body of six-year-old Artur.

And once again, Spain's most notorious drug trafficker was back in the headlines, as Francisco Tejón handed himself in to police after his surprise appearance in a Reggaeton music video.

We hope you enjoy this selection of articles from the EL PAÍS English Edition. Thanks for reading.
